The HELICA hip is a modular cementless system. Both femoral and acetabular components screw into position allowing immediate loading. The surface finish of the titanium components encourages rapid osteointegration.

The Helica System contains

6 stem sizes
3 neck lengths
4 acetabular cup sizes

This gives the veterinary surgeon a greater flexibilty in implant choice. Once the implantation sites have been prepared the implants self tap into position. Only the articular surface of the femoral head is removed, retaining the maximum amount of bone stock to support the femoral prosthesis which screws into place.

Short surgery time
Minimally invasive
Cementless technique
Screw in implants
Immediately loadable
Cost effective
Also Implants can be used to revise the acetabular component of other sytems
